Recursive technology is the application of the idea of recursion to technology- within, between and across technical mediums. All technologies are moving towards being software based and thus starting to acquire the speed of change and controllable power of software. Recursion, a type of system definition which refers to itself, is one of the most powerful ideas in software and is critical to achieving the promise of star trek level technology.
